These Terms & Conditions govern use of the IGREC website and general interactions initiated through it. By using the website or submitting information through an IGREC form, you agree to use the service lawfully and to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

A research, evaluation, data or advisory engagement may also be governed by a proposal, contract, statement of work, data-processing arrangement, confidentiality agreement, study protocol or other written terms. Where a project-specific agreement conflicts with these website terms, the project-specific agreement will govern that engagement to the extent of the conflict.

You may use this website to learn about IGREC, review public services and research experience, read publications, submit enquiries and access other public information made available by IGREC.

You must not attempt to interfere with website security, gain unauthorised access to administrative systems, upload malicious content, misuse forms, impersonate another person or organisation, or use the website in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Submitting an inquiry does not by itself create a binding research or consulting engagement. Scope, fees, timelines, deliverables, staffing, field locations, data responsibilities and payment terms are agreed separately before work begins.

Project schedules and outputs may depend on client approvals, participant access, field conditions, data availability, ethics or institutional requirements, third-party permissions and other factors identified during project planning.

IGREC may decline work that falls outside its capacity, conflicts with professional or ethical requirements, presents unacceptable operational risk, or cannot be delivered responsibly within the proposed scope.

Clients and partners are responsible for providing accurate project context and for identifying permissions, approvals or restrictions that are relevant to the requested work. IGREC will handle project information according to the agreed scope, applicable study documentation and reasonable professional safeguards.

Confidential materials, private datasets, field records and unpublished project outputs should not be treated as public website content. Additional confidentiality, data-protection, ownership and access obligations may be set out in the relevant project agreement.

Where research involves participants, the applicable study protocol, consent process, ethics requirements and data-management arrangements take priority over general website functionality.

Unless otherwise stated, the IGREC website design, branding, original website copy and other materials produced for this website may not be reproduced or republished in a misleading manner or presented as another organisation’s work.

Ownership and permitted use of project-specific datasets, instruments, reports, code, training materials, publications and other deliverables are determined by the relevant project agreement, funder requirements, research collaboration terms or applicable rights held by third parties.

Links to external publications, institutions or third-party resources are provided for context and do not transfer ownership of those materials to IGREC.

Submitting a career application, CV, expression of interest or other professional information does not guarantee employment, consultancy engagement, internship placement, interview or selection.

IGREC may review applications against the requirements of available roles or future opportunities and may retain application records for a reasonable recruitment or operational period subject to the Privacy Policy.

IGREC works to keep the website accurate and available, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. Website content may be corrected, updated, reorganised or withdrawn as services, projects, publications and institutional information change.

External links are provided for reference. IGREC does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their availability, security, privacy practices or content.

Public website information is general institutional information and should not be treated as a substitute for a project-specific proposal, professional assessment or written agreement.

Any limitation of liability, warranty, indemnity, insurance or risk-allocation terms applicable to a paid engagement should be stated in the relevant contract or project documentation rather than inferred from public website copy.

These website terms are intended to operate within the applicable laws of Uganda. Project agreements may specify additional governing-law or dispute-resolution provisions where appropriate.

IGREC may update these terms when website functionality, operational practices or legal requirements change. The current published version on this page will apply from the date it is published.
